The revolutionary automatic, single rotor VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) comes with electronic stabilization, sophisticated sensors and long-range capability of up to 100km from point A to point B, with a 3 hour maximum endurance (with 5 kg payload) and a maximum payload of up to 30kg.
The Discovery features an adaptive design incorporating a Smart Polymorphic Structure in line with the latest technology. Its fuel system is crash-proof compliant in accordance with FAA and EASA requirements. The main components were designed in line with aviation standards, e.g. the navigation and anti-collision lights are EASA CS27 & FAA Part 27 compliant. It is powered by a smooth turbine engine that is easy to maintain. It cruises at a speed of 72 km/h and has a “dash” speed of 150 km/h, with a typical ceiling of 3,000 m.
It is equipped with an advanced dual-antenna GPS & RTK GSNN cm precision systems auto-pilot system that can ensure speed over ground precision of +/- 1cm, auto takeoff, auto landing, auto return-to-launch. The flight path can be automatically generated according to user-defined sensor parameters.
Flights are monitored in real-time flight via a full glass cockpit mission control station that feature screens displaying payload management, 3D mission planning, computerassisted pre-flight check, flight monitoring instruments…etc.
The VLOS pilot utilizes a self-powered Ground Control Unit (GCU) with 10 hours battery life and hot swappable batteries and a rugged transmitter for up to 2.5km line-of-sight and 12 hours of battery life. An EASA-compliant kill-switch is included.
